Our Journey
Founded as the Clothing Relief Society, AussieQuest has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of our community. Under the leadership of Frank Armstrong, we began by providing clothing to the homeless and those in need, both locally and internationally. Over the years, our mission expanded to encompass a broader range of support services aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable populations.
Milestones
Global Clothing Shipments: We established regular clothing shipments to Kiribati and other international regions, ensuring essential items reach those in need across the globe. This initiative has provided much-needed relief to thousands of individuals, helping them face daily challenges with dignity.
OpShop Success: Our OpShops havs flourished, becoming a community hub where affordable goods are available, and proceeds support our various initiatives. This shop provides essential items at low costs and also creates opportunities for community engagement and support. The growth of our OpShop has enabled us to reinvest in local communities and expand our reach.
Community Meal Programs: We introduced programs to provide nutritious meals to local homeless populations, fostering a sense of community and support. These meal programs have become a vital resource for those in need, offering food, companionship and a sense of belonging. By addressing hunger and social isolation, we are building stronger, more resilient communities.
Our Broader Mission
As we move forward, we honour our past while focusing on new initiatives. With Frank Armstrong stepping down from the board but continuing as General Manager of OpShop Operations, we are poised to expand our housing and support services. Key future plans include:
Expanding Housing and Support Services: Leveraging our experience to make a bigger impact than ever before. We plan to develop additional housing solutions tailored to the needs of vulnerable populations, including specialised accommodations for the elderly, domestic violence survivors, and youth at risk. Our goal is to create safe, supportive environments where individuals can rebuild their lives.

We will enhance our existing programmes and introduce new initiatives designed to address the evolving needs of our community.
